Because of the season we are entering, I felt that this was worthy to be re-posted. I believe that God is changing the name of the church (more on that later). I believe that one of our new names will be “The Supernatural Church!” Enjoy!

“…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32 KJV

We were naturally made to be supernatural. Throughout scripture there are numerous examples of seemingly average people that had above average accomplishments. Moses delivered an entire nation of people from slavery; Elijah single handedly slew 400 prophets of Baal; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego survived a fiery furnace without even their clothes being singed; Paul “turned the world upside down” healing the sick and preaching the gospel, and the list can go on and on. What was so different about all the great men and women in the bible that accomplished such great feats from the men and women of GOD today?

As we study these men and women in the Bible, we find that there is not much difference at all. They were normal, everyday people. They had shortcomings; they struggled with insecurities. Whether it be fear, depression, or a general lack of confidence in themselves, they all had their own issues they were working through, they were not perfect. What you will also notice is they all had an active relationship with GOD.

In Daniel 11:32, the Hebrew word for “know” is yada`. It means that you are not just simply familiar with a person, it means that you know them by your own experience. You have spent time, in intimacy. It means your knowledge of God is not just head knowledge (you read about Him), it is experiential knowledge (you have spent time and experienced Him).  Now that’s real worship, a relationship!

So this verse is saying that our relationship with GOD will not only enable us to stand strong, but in that we will do exploits! What are exploits? The Merriam-Webster’s dictionary says it’s a notable or a heroic act. My challenge to you is to do notable and heroic acts on a daily basis. Now rescuing a cat from a tree or helping an old lady cross the street is definitely a notable or a heroic act, but I’m talking about naturally being supernatural. When you see darkness wreaking havoc in or around you, your knee-jerk reaction should be to take authority over it. I’m talking about being in a Supermarket and not just buying groceries for a stranger or giving them an encouraging word, but in addition to that, giving Words of Wisdom and Words of Prophecy, taking authority over all types of darkness, and so forth.

Jesus prayed, “…Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven….” The accomplishment of this verse is being supernatural. How do we know? Well, in Luke 10:8-9, Jesus said, “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’” He also said in Luke 11:20, “But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.” These are great exploits, supernatural feats. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:20, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.” Here “power” is the Greek word dunamis, which is not just power, but it is inherent miraculous power. We should naturally be releasing that “dunamis” of the Kingdom, every day and everywhere.

So how do we become a people that naturally are supernatural? We have to go back to our opening scripture. “…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32. The key here is knowing our God, the key is worship and relationship. This is what plugs us into the source of the “dunamis” of the Kingdom. So I say to you, cultivate a relationship with the one, true, living GOD and naturally become supernatural.
